The character's third appearance was as a Captain in the SAS in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, followed by further appearances in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Still bearing a large moustache, this modern take on Captain Price drew further inspiration from British SAS soldier John McAleese,[2] who was involved in the Iranian Embassy siege and also co-hosted the television series SAS: Are You Tough Enough? in 2003. McAleese was also well known for his large moustache. Price's callsign, Bravo Six, is a direct reference to the 1986 war film Platoon, in which Captain Harris' callsign is exactly the same as Price's.[3][4][5] Much of Price's design in the original Modern Warfare trilogy is carried over into the 2019 reboot, which features a new iteration of the character. Over the course of the franchise, Captain John Price has been portrayed by Michael Gough, Billy Murray[6] and Barry Sloane.[3]

Matthew Wilkinson of TheGamer ranked Captain Price the third-greatest Call of Duty character, writing "Never showing fear, Captain Price was a true leader amongst men and is probably the most iconic character in the Call of Duty series",[27] while Wired's July Muncy called Price the series most iconic character.[28] Jeremy Peel of PC Gamer felt that the rebooted Price "torturing in my name" and "played by a former soap opera serial killer" should not have been likeable, but ultimately "exudes the demeanour of an endearingly drunk uncle."[29] In 2016, Glixel staff ranked Price as the 27th most iconic video game character of the 21st century,[30] while In 2021, Rachel Weber of GamesRadar ranked him as 37th iconic video game character.[31]

Staff Sergeant Griggs (serial number 678452056[1]) is a character in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, being one of the two tritagonists of the game (alongside Gaz). He was assigned to the United States Marine Corps Force Reconnaissance, and was initially under the command of Lt. Vasquez, but was later reassigned to SAS by Captain John Price because of the nuclear explosion. He is voiced by and modeled after Mark Grigsby.

"A single driver and firmware code base supports all Atheros chipsets"Let me reiterate, there is no reason in general why we should care about firmware or indeed care whether a binary blob we find on a device is in fact firmware (as opposed to a manufacturer's serial number, built-in presets, a look-up table to simplify some mathematics, or a vanity logo). There's no reason why the host driver should care how the host interface is implemented - what we need, to secure Free Software, is just the host interface itself, and Atheros, like Intel have done enough to provide us with that (though doubtless Theo doesn't agree with me). For all I know, the AHCI implementation in my laptop is just a painstaking gate-level design from scratch, while the implementation in the chipset for my server actually uses a tiny embedded microprocessor and forty thousand lines of C++. I doubt it in both cases, but more importantly I don't see any reason we should care - they both speak AHCI just fine. Wow?
